\ud83d\udce2 Swissmedic is continuing to roll out swissdamed (Swiss Database on Medical Devices<\/em>), the national database designed to centralize information on medical devices (MDs), in vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDMDs), and economic operators active in the Swiss market.<\/p>\n

This initiative is part of the strategy to strengthen market surveillance that Swiss authorities have been implementing since the end of full mutual recognition with the European Union in the field of medical devices. The goal is to ensure better traceability of products placed on the Swiss market while maintaining a high level of safety for patients and users. <\/p>\n

An important milestone will be reached on July 1, 2026, when the registration of devices in swissdamed will become
